Alocasia Heterophylla 'Silver'

Alocasia heterophylla 'Silver' is a rarity with strikingly elongated, silvery leaves and dark leaf veins. The angular, pointed leaves give the plant an exotic appearance.

Location: Alocasia likes above-average humidity indoors (at least 60 percent) and is grateful for bright, indirect light. A minimum of six hours ensures good growth. Direct midday sun should be avoided, however, as this can burn the leaves. The temperature should ideally not fall below 15 degrees.

Water requirements: The plant should be watered when the top few centimeters of the soil are dry. Alocasia has an average water requirement, but even and constant moisture is ideal.

Alocasias generally like to partially dry out between waterings, but they should never be left dry for more than a day or two! In the colder months, watering should be reduced if the plant is not actively growing or receives less than 4 hours of light per day.
