Our fine blend of premium substrate is especially suitable for smaller plants as well as species that prefer a little more moisture at the root ball, such as young plants of all kinds, calatheas, syngoniums, alocasias and many more!

Our premium substrate provides the perfect foundation for your plants! This soil mixture is modeled after the mixture recommended by the 'Atlanta Botanical Garden', which allows us to offer you an airy, nutrient-rich substrate of the best quality. In addition, odor and the risk of root rot are reduced by our special ingredients. The substrate was mixed by hand by our partner especially for us!

Ingredients (in variable proportions): Coco humus, premium sphagnum moss, perlite, pumice, pine bark, lava mulch and crushed charcoal. The granulation or sieving of the individual components is smaller than for the coarse substrate, and the humus content is also somewhat larger in order to increase the water retention capacity.

The individual components have the following functions here:

  • Coco humus: binds and retains moisture, does not mold
  • Sphagnum: excellent moisture retainer, has an antibacterial effect
  • Perlite: stores water and at the same time aerates the soil
  • Pumice: stores water, loosens the soil
  • Pine bark: loosens the soil, decomposes very slowly, but into nutrient-rich humus.
  • Lava mulch: has a moisture, pH and temperature balancing effect.
  • Charcoal: improves soil structure, supports microorganisms for humus enrichment and thus acts as a long-term fertilizer. Our charcoal has also been pre-fertilized and is thus activated, i.e. it does not extract nutrients from the soil but enriches it
