Maranta leuconeura 'Silver Band' is a highly sought-after houseplant among collectors and is still rarely found on the market. It is therefore considerably more expensive than the Maranta leuconeura fascinator 'Tricolor' with pink stripes.
Marantas are also called prayer plants, because their leaves stretch up in the evening when there is less light, and open again in daylight. When they grow, the leaves hang down, but the plant does not grow too long.
Maranta leuconeura 'Silver Band' is characterized by a shiny silver stripe in the center of the leaf, from which fine silver lines run to the leaf edges. It is perfect for hanging baskets and can be easily propagated.
