Beaucarnea recurvata 'Maya Palm' is a variation of the popular houseplant, also known as elephant's foot or bottle tree. It belongs to the asparagus family (Asparagaceae) and has a thick, bottle-shaped trunk from which long, narrow, green leaves protrude in an arching pattern. Similar to the traditional Beaucarnea recurvata, the 'Maya Palm' is also an easy-care plant.
Location and watering: It prefers bright, indirect light conditions and requires moderate watering. The soil should dry out well between waterings.
Temperature: This plant thrives best at room temperatures between 18-24 °C. However, it is relatively adaptable and can survive at slightly lower temperatures.
Humidity: 'Maya Palm' tolerates normal room humidity well. However, occasional spraying of the leaves can be beneficial.
Growth: The growth of this plant is slow, which makes it an ideal houseplant. Over time, it develops an impressive trunk.
