Anthurium Clarinervium is a beautiful anthurium, which is quite suitable for beginners! The heart-shaped dark green leaves with white veins and a velvety surface are an eye-catcher in any home. Larger plants reach a leaf width of about 30 centimeters, in total this anthurium grows to a height of about 60 cm.

In its native land, the Central and South American rainforest, the anthurium grows as an epiphyte (a plant that grows on other plants) and clings to the branches of trees with its aerial roots. The high humidity, frequent rains and free-flowing air help this plant stay moisturized without getting soaked. Anthurium clarinervium likes constant warm temperatures from 18 degrees Celsius and does not cope well with cold.

Location: A warm location with bright indirect light would be ideal. Direct midday sun will quickly cause burning. While the Anthurium Clarinervium likes moderate to higher humidity above 50 percent, it should not be sprayed as the velvety leaves are susceptible to fungal diseases. If your area is drier, you can place a wide container of water under/next to the plant for evaporation or use a humidifier.

Substrate: The substrate should be airy and dry quickly. You can find our substrate for arum plants here.

Watering: Let substrate dry a few centimeters before watering.

Toxicity: Like all arum plants, anthuriums are toxic when eaten.
