Water hoses are the genus of carnivorous plants with the most species. The small leaves cover the surface like moss, moreover, most species delight with numerous filigree flowers all year round. The water hose catches micro-insects underground with small trapping bubbles that are pressurized and suck the insects in with lightning speed when irritated. In nature, these species occur in wet, marshy locations around the world, often right next to watercourses.

Habitat: Plenty of indirect light, sun is also tolerated in moderation.

Water requirement: Always keep in the accumulation, gladly up to the pot edge! Water only lime-free water.

Humidity: The water hose needs an increased humidity of at least 60%, but this is usually self-adjusting due to the humid culture.

Substrate: Do not use normal potting soil. Mix unfertilized peat with perlite, Sphagnum perlite or special soil for carnivorous plants. Do not fertilize!

Toxicity: Non-toxic to animals.

Other: With good culture, this species blooms throughout the year.
