Keiki paste 'KeikiPro' from Plantscraper

KeikiPro contains high-quality plant hormones (primarily cytokinins) that have been developed to stimulate the growth of dormant eyes in aroids and the growth of new shoots ("keikis") in orchids.

This keiki paste offers several important advantages for both hobby gardeners and professional gardeners:

When using KeikiPro, there are some important instructions to follow in order to achieve the best results:

• Timing: The optimal time to apply keiki paste is during the plant's active growth period, usually in the spring and summer months. However, if your plants thrive in a highly controlled environment, such as a grow tent or cabinet, year-round application is possible.
• Health of the plants: Only apply keiki paste to healthy plants. A weak or stressed plant may not have the strength to support new growth.
• Areas of application: The paste should be applied to nodes or dormant eyes where new growth is possible. Avoid applying to the leaves or other parts of the plant that cannot sprout new growth.
• Environmental factors: Make sure the plant is in a suitable environment, ideally warmer rather than cooler, with 23 degrees being optimal. The temperature should be above 20 degrees for the cytokinin to be absorbed effectively, as lower temperatures can prevent absorption due to the plant's cellulose barrier.
• Dosage: Stimulates too many growth points at the same time, less is more.

Please note that KeikiPro will not accelerate the growth of slow growing plants as this is not the intended purpose of the paste.

How is KeikiPro used step by step?

• Choose a healthy plant with a visible dormant eye.
• Clean the area around the eye with water and let it dry.
• Carefully scrape the surface of the knot with a sterile tool (knife) to expose it slightly.
• Apply a small amount of keiki paste directly to the scraped area of the knot.
• Wait 4-6 weeks for new growth to appear, keeping the plant constantly in a warm, humid environment.
• The new shoot or offshoot can continue to be cared for in the same way as the mother plant.

When using KeikiPro, a low dose is better than a high dose. Too much paste can overwhelm the plant and lead to irregular growth or "burning" of the growing points. Remember that patience is required, as it can take several weeks or even months to see results, depending on the type of plant. So don't be discouraged if growth doesn't start immediately!
