Hoyas, also called wax flowers, are a very diverse genus. Hoya Carnosa is probably the simplest of its kind, but is in no way inferior in beauty to the other species. There are many cultivars of Hoya Carnosa, this 'Compacta' is a very special one of them. The leaves are strikingly strongly arched and the shoots resemble small ropes, so it is also called 'Hindu Rope Hoya' in English.

Wax flowers store water in their leaves, which is why they belong to the succulents. Therefore, they are allowed to dry out completely. Since they are also epiphytes, that is, in nature grow on trees and not in the ground, the substrate should be very airy.

Location: Give this Hoya plenty of light, it can also handle direct midday sun quite well after some careful acclimation. She is an easy plant!

Watering: The top layer should dry out between watering. Once a week is a good guideline.

Toxicity: Hoyas are not to slightly toxic.
