Homalomena humilis 'Red Velvet

This Homalomena is an unusual form of the well-known H. Humilis and has dark red velvety leaves. The plant is very simple and grows very quickly. In low light the leaves become smaller and the stems a little longer, in more light the leaves become much larger and the stems tighter. So we recommend a bright location, but less light is also okay.

This plant has a high water consumption, because it has a lot of leaf surface. If it has a lack of water, it becomes limp like a peace lily.

Against pests it is not sensitive at all. A very great plant, even for beginners.
