Its actual name is Ceropegia Woodii, but it’s called String of Hearts because of its heart-shaped leaves. It’s one of the most sought-after houseplants for good reason: it looks amazing, is easy to care for, and is non-toxic to pets. The special thing about Ceropegia Woodii Variegata is its pink and white variegation.

The plant grows up to four meters long! But it can easily be trimmed if needed. It looks great trailing down from a cupboard or shelf. The String of Hearts also looks stunning in our small hanging pots by Present Time!

Location: Place your String of Hearts in a bright spot if you want dense growth. It’s also happy with much less light, but it will grow a bit leggy then.

Watering: It’s important not to overwater. Thanks to tubers in the soil that store water, the substrate can safely dry out. We recommend watering the plant about once a week.

Propagation: You can propagate the Ceropegia Woodii through cuttings, aerial tubers, or seeds. The aerial tubers form on the vines after some time and can produce new tendrils. To do this, simply press them – preferably with a vine attached – into the soil of another pot. The substrate should then be kept moist, but not wet, to encourage rooting. Once the tuber has rooted and starts growing after a few weeks or months, it can be separated from the original plant.

Toxicity: Ceropegia Woodii is non-toxic.

Flowers appearing is a sign of good care. Then you’re doing everything right!
