Calathea Beautystar Baby Plant

The Beauty Star is a relatively new Calathea variety. It has beautiful pink, silver, and white stripes on its upper leaf surfaces. The Beauty Star is related to the Calathea Ornata but has longer, thinner leaves and a different leaf pattern. Calatheas are known as “Prayer Plants,” meaning they lower their leaves in daylight and raise them again in darkness. If you care for this plant properly, it can bring you great joy:

Location: Semi-shady to bright, without direct sunlight.

Watering: The soil should not dry out completely; water when the top layer of soil is slightly dry. This means the substrate should be kept consistently moist. If the Calathea’s leaves curl slightly, it’s likely thirsty and should be watered quickly.

Humidity: High, between 60% to 80%

Toxicity: Calatheas are non-toxic!
