Our Alocasia Macrorrhiza 'Albo Variegata' is still a baby, but it can grow to a stately size. Because its leaves can also grow very large, it is also called giant-leaved arrowleaf or Giant-Taro. However, the plant's white-panate leaves cause it to grow a little slower because it has less chlorophyll.

Location: Bright indirect light is best, direct midday sun can cause burning. However, in winter the plant can be well placed in a south window, in summer two to three meters distance would be recommended. In addition, sufficient humidity should be provided.

Watering: Especially with young alocasia should be careful not to dry out the soil too much. Before watering, however, the soil should dry superficially.

Poisonousness: Since it is an arum plant, the consumption of the leaves is poisonous. Fun fact: In the Asian homeland of the plant, the rhizomes called "taro" serve as food when cooked.
