Aeschynanthus Japhrolepis

Aeschynanthus Japhrolepis has delicate green leaves, its shoots can reach a length of up to 120 cm. From July to October it shines with salmon pink bright flowers.

Location: Preferably plenty of bright, indirect light, but a little less light is also possible. However, lack of light can cause the leaves to fall off or the plant to grow more slowly or become wilted. In this case, move the plant to a brighter location. The Aeschynanthus loves high humidity, so the kitchen or bathroom is the best location. Regular weekly spraying is a good way to increase humidity.

Watering: Water moderately during the summer months, allowing the soil surface to dry between waterings. Water less frequently in winter.

Temperature: The Aeschynanthus prefers a warmer location, protected from cold drafts. The ideal temperature is 21-27 °C, at least 18 °C the plant tolerates well. Temperatures below 10 °C will harm it and cause it to cool down, turning the leaves dark red.

Toxicity: The Aeschynanthus Japhrolepis is considered to be non-toxic.
